The first part of Module 2 provides you with the opportunity to effectively demonstrate client work skills whilst informing and educating clients and the public about nutrition through food as it relates to promoting health.

You will undertake a series of dietary educator role plays.  In addition you will upload the report that you prepared for the role play case client and write a practitioner reflection on your performance.

If you have completed the BSc Hons Nutrition Science course you will be exempt from the Dietary Educator Consultation as you will have demonstrated these outcomes during level 4.

Clinical Skills is the second nutritional therapy clinic training as part of the NTPD. You will either be a BSc Nutrition Science or MSc Personalised Nutrition student, and are taking the NTPD as a route to practice nutritional therapy. You will have had to have completed the Foundation Coaching 5 day course and the Dietary Educators role plays prior to attending this course.

The module will be very much ‘hands on’ and interactive. Through observation, case discussion, case presentations, role play and ‘live’ clinical laboratory work you will begin to use your dietary knowledge in the context of pathology and will be challenged in a variety of ways to demonstrate your knowledge, understanding and ability to put what you know into practice.
